What’s that expression? Don’t judge a book by its cover. Oh yea. That one… It’s true.
I had low expectations for this book. The corny cover made it look like the average beachy summer romance novel and the title didn’t elevate it much after that. Only after reading the jacket did I decide it was worth a look-see.
Surprise! It was a great, quick read. I was unable to put it down in the final chapters. Summer Island had me weeping at the end for reasons I could not have suspected when I picked it up and glad that I did not judge this book….oh, you know.
