Soooooo big.

Remember when you had little babies and you played that game?  (Some of my mommy friends may only have to remember a few hours back, others may really have to think about this one.)

“How big is ______?   SOOOOooooo big!”

And now, he is big.

Vader at 6 months, 3 years, and 7 years old

Vader started second grade yesterday.  He made his own lunch for the first time.  He picked out his own clothes.  He is still working on the shoe-tying (we’ve had velcro sneakers for ease of use) and not ready to give up his blanket, but still, he is a real person now.

Tomorrow is Splash and Turtle’s first day of PreK.  It is also the first time ever they have been apart.  Tomorrow, mommy might need to be “so big.”  I know, I know.  It is not like they are new to going to school – they have been in daycare on and off their whole lives.  But they have always been together.

One step at a time, right?

One big step at a time.

  1. Oh boy! Some days are so much MORE big than others! I can only imagine how you feel Momma. Big hugs and keep up the writing. You are Doing great!
